1. Using Key9 "registration" to register a new Yubikey PIN.

  1. Login to your Key9 site and navigate to "My Profile" and then "Register New Passkey".

  1. If you want to register a Passkey on your Yubikey device, then give it a name that you can recognize later. If the purpose is to only PIN protect your Yubikey, the device name is not important.

  1. Once you hit "Continue", you'll be presented with a screen asking "where" to store the "Passkey". You will want to select "Use a different phone, tablet, or security key"

  1. You will be presented with a QR code. At this point, key press your Yubikey.

  1. At this point, if your device is not PIN protected, you will be prompted to assign a PIN.

  1. Once you enter your PIN and hit next, your device will be PIN-protected. You can then abort the registration process or continue if you wish to use your Yubikey for Key9 logins.
